The Colt Lightweight Commander is a 1911-style semi-automatic pistol chambered in 9mm and built with a lightweight aluminum alloy frame for everyday carry. There is an optic cut on the slide to accomodate a dot optic. It features a carbon steel slide, 4.25″ barrel, dual recoil spring system, Novak LoMount sights, upswept beavertail grip safety, undercut trigger guard, and G10 grips. The Commander-size platform offers reduced weight while maintaining the handling characteristics of the classic 1911 design
